On that fateful day, Gladiee stood on the balcony of his home in Staten Island, New York witnessing firsthand the unimaginable collapse of the Twin Towers. The devastating impact and overwhelming sense of loss left an indelible mark on his soul, profoundly influencing his songwriting and inspiring this poignant musical tribute. The rhythm, tempo, duration, and composition timeline of every song were meticulously planned.
The creation of this music album spanned nearly nine years, culminating in the first part of Gladiee’s dual presentation, the “9/11 Love Story” memorial. The second part, a forthcoming romantic novel also titled “9/11 Love Story,” is still in progress, promising to further explore the themes and stories introduced in the album.

The number seven holds profound significance in various religious and spiritual traditions. In Judaism and Christianity, it is frequently mentioned in the Bible, symbolizing completion and perfection. In the Old Testament, God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh, making it a day of divine rest and sanctity. Seven also holds spiritual importance in Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism, representing a connection to the divine and cosmic order.

The choice adds an additional layer of symbolism to the piece. It reflects not only the content and message of the music but also the dedication and intentionality behind its creation. In 2016, Gladiee dedicated himself to composing and producing a single song. It had been fifteen years since the tragic events that unfolded in New York City in 2001.
How many different themes or melodies are embedded in the composition ‘My Pain’?
The extended duration of the song required Gladiee to create a more intricate and layered narrative. This process involved composing several mini-songs, each in different minor keys, to capture a wide range of emotions and tonalities. The composer meticulously selected and seamlessly integrated nine of these mini-songs, crafting them into a cohesive, single composition that lasts precisely 9 minutes and 11 seconds. 6. *BLACK DANCE (HUGGED BY DEATH) • Single • PREVIEW – 3:00 • FULL LENGTH – **6:30 • Tempo 120 bpm • © 12/27/2017
by GLADIEE (Composer • Performer • Producer • Album Cover Design • Website Design)
*Why is the song titled “Black Dance (Hugged By Death)?
The term “white dance” historically refers to a tradition where ladies invite gentlemen to dance, originating from court balls in Vienna. These dances were initially called “feminine” but later became known as “white” due to the prevalence of ladies in snow-white dresses at these events. This imagery evokes scenes of elegance, purity, and societal norms of romance and celebration. By naming the song “Black Dance,” Gladiee draws a stark contrast to the “white dance.” While the “white dance” symbolizes innocence and societal rituals of courtship, the “black dance” signifies a dance with death, filled with darkness and despair. The use of “black” invokes a sense of mourning, finality, and the somber reality of the couple’s situation. The title encapsulates the emotional gravity of their last moments together. It reflects the intimate yet tragic nature of their final “dance,” underscored by the impending doom surrounding them. The juxtaposition of the terms “dance” and “death” highlights the tragic beauty of their last moments together, emphasizing the love and bond they shared even in the face of unimaginable horror.
**Why does the composition “Black Dance (Hugged By Death)” last for 6 minutes and 30 seconds?
As the clock shows 6:30, the minute and hour hands align perfectly, merging into one at the digit 6. This rare alignment created an illusion of time standing still, as if the world itself paused for a heartbeat. But within this stillness, another illusion emerged: the minute and hour hands resembled a pair of dancers, finally touching and embracing in a delicate dance.

*Why is the song titled “In Loving Memory of…” instead of “In Loving Memory of 9/11”?
This song carries a mystical history. Gladiee had long envisioned writing the final track for his album, “9/11 Love Story,” with the title “In Loving Memory of 9/11.” Then, on the evening of August 10, 2017, inspiration struck unexpectedly. On the morning of August 11, 2017, filled with excitement, Gladiee shared the nearly finished melody with his colleague, Joseph T. Taranto, at work. His dear friend Mitchell Kaminsky ,68, had tragically died in a motorcycle accident on Swan Mountain Road in Colorado on the evening of August 10, 2017, at 5:30 PM, just two hours before Gladiee began composing. The loss of his friend hit Gladiee hard. Reflecting on the timing of his inspiration, it felt as though an angel had been sent from heaven, guiding him to write a requiem for his recently deceased friend. In his moment of grief, Gladiee decided to change the title of his new song from “In Loving Memory of 9/11” to “In Loving Memory of…” This new title offered a broader tribute, honoring not only the victims of 9/11 but also his beloved friend Mitchell and all those who have tragically lost their lives, including those who succumbed to cancer and other illnesses related to the 9/11 tragedy.
