MARKED FOR ETERNITY (Single)

This composition is inspired by the stark imagery of individuals covered in white dust from the collapsing towers, a symbol of the shared trauma and unity on that fateful day. This visual is brought to life through the music, making “Marked For Eternity” a powerful auditory memorial. The white dust acted as a unifying factor, visually erasing distinctions between people. Office workers, firefighters, police officers, and paramedics were all equally covered, symbolizing the indiscriminate nature of the disaster and the shared experience of those present. This imagery emphasizes how all were marked by the tragedy, regardless of their roles or identities. Using 88 bpm can symbolize the infinite journey of innocent souls to heaven, highlighting the eternal nature of their memory and legacy. Below is an excerpt from Gladiee’s unfinished book, capturing the profound emotions he experienced during the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

Excerpt from Gladiee’s unfinished Book “9/11 Love Story”:

“The catastrophic collapse of the World Trade Center towers on September 11, 2001, they generated enormous dust clouds that enveloped the surrounding area, leaving hundreds of densely populated city blocks covered in a thick layer of ash, debris, and a fine white dust composed of pulverized drywall and other building materials. The scale of the destruction was staggering. The towering plume of dust and debris reached an estimated height of 3,000 feet, casting a shadow over the city and spreading fine particles and contaminants as far as two miles from the World Trade Center site.

This widespread distribution of dust and debris was primarily a result of the immense force with which the towers collapsed, pulverizing vast amounts of concrete, steel, glass, and other materials. The impact transformed the once iconic structures into a massive cloud that blanketed the city, leaving a lasting mark on both the physical landscape and the collective memory of New York City. The events of 9/11 left an indelible mark on all who experienced it, whether they were directly involved or witnessed it from afar. The physical covering of dust serves as a metaphor “Marked for Eternity” by leaving emotional and psychological scars that would remain with survivors and responders for the rest of their lives.”
